Encouragement to share...

The last few days have been a little rough.  I sat down at one point in need of encouragement and read my devotional book called "Jesus Calling."  This pages of this book are filled with scriptures written from Jesus to us... to me... to you... here is what I read:

"Let me help you through this day.  The challenges you face are far too great for you to handle alone.  You are keenly aware of your helplessness in the scheme of events you face.  This choice opens up a choice to doggedly go it alone or to walk with Me in humble steps of dependence.  Actually, this choice is continually before you, but difficulties highlight the decision-making process.  So, consider it all joy whenever you are enveloped in various trials.  These are gifts from Me, reminding you to rely on Me alone."

Be encouraged.

Remember God will never give you anything that you cannot handle. It may seem at times that you cannot go any further, but remember the Lord is with you at all times.

Josh and Deb, have you contacted Dr. Kurtzberg at Duke, or Dr. Escolar at University of North Carolina? Is Noah a candidate for transplant? I will be accompanying a family to Mexico the end of this month, where their son - not a candidate for transplant - will be treated for MLD, with transvected stem cells from umbilical cord blood. If this works, this will be a breakthrough in treatment. (You can message me on MySpace if you want to contact me - www.myspace.com/stennisfoundation).
