We made it!

For the last 3 weeks, Noah and I have been in limbo.  We have lived in 3 different houses, slept on a multitude of beds and sofas, stored clothes in laundry baskets, and spent entirely too much time away from Josh.

No more!

Yesterday we arrived in Alabama!

The flight was surprisingly uneventful... Noah seemed to enjoy his first plane ride and I imagine that the majority of the passengers didn't even know there was a baby on board.  The flight from St. Louis to Birmingham was blissfully short... which makes me anticipate many easy trips back to the Lou to visit.

There is a lot to accomplish at the new house, of course (the pile of stuff in the garage seriously makes me queasy) ... but I am excited to finally begin this chapter in the Lauer family novel.

I'm so happy you made it to T-town. It's hard to believe your there ... You all feel so close to my heart. The Scotts will be in T-town May 23rd-30th. I don't start my job till June 2nd:-) Why do I find myself struggling that God will provide. I look at Noah, you, and Josh and I'm humbled. I fight so hard for my comfort, for Sophia, and Jeremy's comfort and when we're not I find my self complaining... having no faith. Than I realize that God cares more for my spiritual self than for my earthly body... For all of our earthly bodies will fade away... We're but a vapor as James says. Why would God try to give our earthly bodies every comfort when He can grow us into becoming more like Him... when He can change that which will last forever with Him.
Again, I look at Noah and I'm reminded of this truth... Isaiah 55.

Welcome to T'Town! It is obvious that God has had his hand in this move. Although I don't know you, your story has touched my heart and you are in my prayers. My friend Lorrie Clements works in the athletic department at UA and shared your story with the Girls Night Out group at Calvary Baptist Church. I work at DCH and I am guessing the Dr. God put in your path from here is Dr. Potts, if so, he is truly sent from heaven. God works in mysterious and wonderful ways! God bless you.

Glad you arrived safely. Have they confirmed the specific Leukodystrophy that Noah has? Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you, or help you with. My email is trishknight (at) stennisfoundation.org.

Glad you made it there safe and sound. John and I are praying for all of you everyday and are happy to see how God has put so many people in your path already. We have put you on the prayer chain at our church here in Lexington, VA as well as my home church in STL.

Love,
Chris
